Mahon & O'Dowd Funeral Directors have funeral homes in two locations. They are based in Boyle, Co. Roscommon and Gurteen, Co. Sligo. They are available for funerals of all denominations and provide comfortable, modern and spacious rooms in which to host a funeral.
Mahon's Funeral Home
Mahon's Funeral Home, Boyle, was purpose built in 1984 and has been fully renovated in 2020. It provides a comfortable and modern venue for reposing a loved one publicly or privately.
O'Dowd's Funeral Home
O'Dowd's Funeral Home, Gurteen, was opened in November 2020. Formerly a public house, it has been redesigned and constructed to the highest standards. It has a large entrance hall and reposing room, providing a warm, welcoming and comfortable home setting in which to host a funeral.
Coffins & Urns
We have fully-stocked showrooms in both our Boyle and Gurteen Funeral Homes. Whether you choose traditional burial or cremation, we have a large range of coffins and urns to suit all budgets and tastes. They include veneered oak coffins, solid oak coffins, religious image coffins, eco coffins and a selection of Italian coffins and caskets.
